Event Arosa Lenzerheide
Arosa liest...Writer in Residence mit D. Dusil
Description
Dagmar Dusil reads from her volume "Kalte Tage" (Cold Days), published for the Leipzig Book Fair in March 2026, by Pop Verlag, Ludwigsburg "The night breathes snow." Dagmar Dusil begins with a sentence that makes the cold audible – and at the same time opens a door to those in-between spaces where fear and comfort coexist. Her texts speak from a vigilant vulnerability, sometimes "half child, half rat," close to the ground of things, close to the tremor of time. The author writes as if she is not recounting memories, but unraveling. "My childhood lived in a white woolen ball" – layer by layer, she pulls threads from drawers, cities, countries; until the personal flips into something universal: into loss, into homesickness, into pain, into survival. In doing so, images are created that do not push away the heavy, but make it bearable: a smoke that becomes a halo, a fairy tale that flows through the throat, a sky that remains attainable nonetheless. Kalte Tage is a late lyrical confession that does not deny the frost – and precisely because of that exposes warmth: quiet, precise, unforgettable. Dagmar Dusil, author & musician In case of bad weather, the musical reading will take place in the Backstage, Kursaal Arosa.
