Arty Show ventures beyond the beaten path and forges new trails in the urban landscape. From Aarau to Zurich, passing through Davos, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Lausanne, Neuchâtel, and Sion, Swiss artists — both established and emerging — take over shop windows provided by supportive merchants. In this open-air gallery, storefronts invite you to explore unique artistic worlds. Arty Show breathes poetry into everyday life, sparks spontaneous exchanges, and builds bridges between generations, cultures, and sensibilities. It transforms the street into a place of sharing — where people pause, look, and enjoy window shopping along the way. On Saturday 8 August, the exhibition’s opening will take place at Arkadenplatz, with a welcome address by President Marietta Zürcher. Following a short panel discussion on the topic of ‘Art in Public Spaces’ with Katharina Beisiegel and Thomas Spielmann, guests will explore the various installations in the shop windows together.
