Event Engadin St. Moritz
Bernina Gran Turismo 2026
Description
Following the success of the 2025 edition, which celebrated the tenth anniversary of the event's modern revival as well as a century of motorized travel on the roads of Graubünden, the event will continue its tradition of precision and performance on the legendary Bernina Pass next year.
Highlights of the Bernina Gran Turismo 2025
The 2025 edition brought together 51 exceptional vehicles on the 5.7-kilometer course between La Rösa and Ospizio Bernina. The starting grid featured some of the most famous sports cars in automotive history: from the rare 1934 Bugatti Type 59 Sports and the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB SEFAC Competition to the 1971 Porsche 908/10/03. A highlight was the Bugatti Bolide, which drove on a public road for the first time, driven by collector Fritz Burkard, Le Mans winner and Bugatti test driver Andy Wallace, and Bugatti CEO Mate Rimac. For the first time in its modern history, the Bernina Gran Turismo also reached a global audience through live broadcasts on Swiss Sport TV and the official BGT YouTube channel, giving enthusiasts worldwide the chance to experience the sound of the engines and the spectacle on the Alpine pass in real time.
Rough Luxury on Wheels
In 2026, the Bernina Gran Turismo will once again embody the concept of "Rough Luxury"—a lifestyle where authenticity and precision go hand in hand. It can be found in the patina of a well-worn car, in the passion for pushing a classic car to its limits, and in toasting the day with a glass of Franciacorta. Somewhere between asphalt, weathered leather seats, and crisp mountain air, you'll feel an unmistakable style that can't be created, only lived. From the first roar of the engine at La Rösa to the summit of Ospizio Bernina, the 2026 Bernina Gran Turismo will be another unforgettable highlight, celebrating the soul of classic motorsport.
