Botanische Exkursion

Discover the meadows and pastures of Val Müstairs

On a walk together, you will get to know typical plant species and learn how they can be distinguished and identified. It becomes visible how diverse and finely tuned these cultural landscapes are and how strongly their species composition is influenced by use, climate and location.

At the same time, you will gain insight into a long-term research project on Graubünden flora. More than 130 volunteers record plant species throughout the canton and document how the vegetation has changed over the past hundred years.

The excursion combines botanical knowledge with on-site observation – and focuses on a diversity that often only becomes visible on closer inspection.
