Bunt ins neue Schuljahr

Family service, children's magic show and a cheerful celebration for young and old: On Sunday, August 16, 2026, the start of the new school year will be celebrated around the Seewis-Pardisla Catholic Church.
A new school year is like a blank slate: it brings new encounters, exciting experiences and many a challenge. Under the motto "Colorful through life - and God accompanies you", the Catholic parish of Vorder- and Mittelprättigau invites you to a lively family service at 10:00 a.m. The children and young people will be blessed for their way through the coming kindergarten and school year.
All children are allowed to bring their school backpack or kindergarten bag. They are also blessed – after all, they accompany the children day after day and carry everything they need to learn, discover and grow. The service will also be livestreamed.
Afterwards it continues magically: At 11.15 a.m. Dan White inspires with his big children's magic show. With magic, comedy and his cheeky beaver hand puppet, he causes amazement and many laughs.
Afterwards there will be enough time to play, jump and get together. Bouncy castles, various games and a fireplace await the families. Each family brings its own barbecue food, the drinks are offered by the parish.
Whether kindergarten child, schoolchild, parents, grandparents or simply curious guests: everyone is cordially invited to start the new school year together in a colourful way and with God's blessing.
