Description
Care work is the foundation of our society
Care work is indispensable for our society and yet often remains invisible and unpaid. On the international CareDay, we draw attention to the importance of care and care work and invite people to exchange, reflect and discuss.
A varied program awaits you at the Kulturpunkt:
11:30 a.m. – 1:45 p.m. | Economy is Care
Over a soup lunch together, we exchange ideas about the value and importance of care work.
2:00–4:00 p.m. | Self-care
Lazing around is all about self-care.
6:00–7:00 p.m. | Care-City
What does a city need for care work and mutual support to find their place?
8:00–9:30 p.m. | Care strike
We are showing the Icelandic film "A Day Without Women" (2025), which looks back at the historic women's strike of 1975.
The Chur City Library is also participating in CareDay with an information table as well as a reading and a discussion with Norbert Bundi on the topic of "Living with muscle disease".
Come by, exchange ideas and set an example for the recognition of care work together with us!
