Christmas Concert of the Filarmonica Comunale Poschiavo

Music, tradition, and the charm of the winter season come together in the traditional Christmas Concert presented by the Filarmonica Comunale Poschiavo (Municipal Philharmonic). Together with the Youth Band, the Philharmonic presents a program that spans Christmas and winter themes, spiritual moments, and tributes linked to two important anniversaries in 2026. “Brother Sun, Sister Moon” evokes the figure and message of St. Francis of Assisi, in the year marking the 800th anniversary of his death. “Mozart Pop Symphony” and “The Young Amadeus,” meanwhile, pay tribute to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart on the 270th anniversary of his birth. Rounding out the program are “Torrents of Fire,” “Schlittenfahrt in den Alpen,” “Rhythm of the Winds,” “Lustige Schneeballschlacht,” and “The Bells of Christmas,” in a musical journey rich in contrasts, festive sounds, and evocative imagery. An event that brings together different generations of musicians and celebrates the Christmas season through the variety and expressive power of band music.
