Cinema: «Le chant des Forêts» in Ilanz

After "La Panthère des neiges", wildlife photographer and documentary film director Vincent Munier once again takes us on a breathtakingly beautiful journey. Deep in the forests of the Vosges, he learned from his father to read the tracks of the animals and to explore where they eat, hunt, build their nests and sleep. Now it's time to pass this knowledge on to Simon, Vincent's son.

Together, the three set out to discover the diversity and enchanting beauty of the old, moss-covered forest. Hidden under trees, grandfather, father and son spend numerous nights outside, observing, listening to the various sounds. And we discover deer, owls, foxes and lynxes with them – and sometimes even the flapping of the wings of a very rare animal: the capercaillie. "Le Chant des forêts" builds a bridge between man and nature, day and night, the personal and the universal: a visually magnificent, sensual cinematic poem.
