Cinema: «The Odyssey» in Ilanz

Christopher Nolan (Oppenheimer) stages the most famous journey home in literary history. The ancient epic has already been adapted several times - including in 1954 with Kirk Douglas and in 2024 with Ralph Fiennes in the title role.
After the Trojan War, King Odysseus wants to return to his wife Penelope and his son Telemachus in Ithaca. But the way home is more difficult than expected, because Odysseus faces a long adventure full of dangers. Among others, he has to deal with the goddess Calypso, the cyclops Polyphemus and the sorceress Circe. In the meantime, the goddess Athena goes to Odysseus' homeland of Ithaca and urges Telemachus to go in search of his father. Therefore, he now goes to King Menelaus of Sparta, Odysseus' comrade-in-arms in the Trojan War, and asks him for advice.
