Cinema: «Yön Lapsi» in Ilanz

With the dream of a perfect family, Saga (Seidi Haarla) and her British husband Jon (Rupert Grint) move into a remote house deep in the Finnish forest – a place where Saga spent much of her childhood. But as soon as her baby is born, Saga knows, despite all the assurances of those around her, that something is very wrong with her son. As their marriage threatens to break up, Jon desperately tries to support his wife. But only Saga realizes the monstrous truth behind her newborn.

Following the international success of her feature film debut HATCHING, which was screened at the Sundance Film Festival, Finnish director Hanna Bergholm presents a new, captivating horror film with NIGHTBORN. Prominently cast with Seidi Haarla (COMPARTMENT NO. 6) and Rupert Grint (HARRY POTTER), NIGHTBORN tells an oppressive, atmospherically dense horror parable about motherhood. The film celebrated its world premiere in competition at the 76th Berlinale.
