In Maienfeld you can find out how the girl from the mountains became so famous. On the guided tour through the original setting of the story, you will have the opportunity to dive into the legend of Heidi. Experience the world of 1880, where the bed was made of straw and food was prepared in a cast-iron kettle over an open fire. The Heidi village illustrates how nature, tradition and joy of life inspired Johanna Spyri to write her world bestseller "Heidi".
