Faszination Landschaft und Geologie

We meet at the "Nagens Sura" mountain station of the Flemexpress and hike from there in the direction of Grauberg. Here we have a fantastic view of the Glarus Main Thrust, the Lower Segnesboden and many other peaks and learn a lot of interesting facts about mountain formation, rocks and the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterwards, we enjoy the views of the beautiful moorland of national importance in front of us on the descent to the Unterer Segnesboden. On our way through the Lower Segnesboden we have enough time for a break and will learn more exciting aspects about the geology in the region. Our excursion ends at the Segneshütte.

Information about the hike:
• Moderately difficult mountain hike; SAC Hiking Scale T2 (2 short spots T3, with rope protection)
• Walking time: 1.5 – 2 h; Duration of the tour: 3.5 – 4 h; Ascent: 70 m, descent: 140 m; distance: 5 km
• Highest point: 2230 m above sea level (Grauberg), lowest point: 2090 m above sea level (Lower Segnesboden)
• Meeting point: 10:30 a.m. in front of the "Nagens Sura" mountain station of the Flemexpress
(Arrival either with the Flemexpress cable car from the valley station in Flims or with the B 125 bus, departure from the "Laax Bergbahnen" station at 09:44 a.m., get off at the "Laax GR, Nagens" station)
• End point of the hike: approx. 2:30 p.m. at the Segneshütte
(Return to the valley either with the Flemexpress or by bus from the stops "Laax GR, Nagens" or "Laax GR, Alp Nagens", short walk from the Segneshütte to the stops)

Equipment / What to bring:
• Mountain hiking equipment (hiking boots, weatherproof jacket)
• If required: food, drink (refreshment stop after the tour in the Segneshütte)

• Regardless of the number of participants, implementation is already carried out from one person
• Cancellation in case of very unfavorable weather

• Per person: 30.00 CHF (cash payment on site; Costs for arrival and departure are not included)
• Insurance is the responsibility of the participants
