Flora Raetica

Description

One century after the historical "Flora of Graubünden" (Braun-Blanquet & Rübel), Flora Raetica are working on a comprehensive inventory of Graubünden's flora in a citizen science project by the anniversary year 2032. The focus is on the question of how the distribution and abundance of species have changed over the last 100 years – and what the causes are. Thomas Wolgemuth talks about the goals of IG Florae and how we can all help to research Graubünden's flora: On the one hand, a scientific basis is to be created in order to take targeted measures in favour of biodiversity. On the other hand, the aim is to get people excited about botany and to make the diversity of Graubünden's flora visible. Flora Raetica is a citizen science project, everyone is welcome – from beginners to professionals. Every observation counts. Do you want to search for plants, deepen your knowledge and share your observations? You decide how much time you want to invest – outside in nature, indoors while determining, alone or with others. If you would like to be part of Flora Raetica, please contact us. Registration is welcome at any time (registration information under https://florae.ch/kontakt/). All interested parties are cordially invited. Afterwards, we invite you to exchange ideas over a small aperitif. Registration is requested.
