Do you want to understand the basics of photography and, above all, be able to apply them yourself?
In this photography course, I will explain the most important settings of your camera and we will apply them directly to photographing the San Jon horses.
You won't learn how to get horses to pose perfectly, which is often not realistically feasible in everyday life and looks rather unnatural in the pictures. Instead, you will learn to make good use of an existing location and lighting situation, to recognize beautiful moments and to make the right camera settings for them. So that you are always ready to capture them - but with really good photos, not just snapshots.
Do you want to finally exploit the potential of your camera?
So that you can take good quality photos of your horse without missing the situation with the tedious search for the right settings? And without realizing afterwards that the gallop photos in the pasture are blurry because your camera's automatic mode thought you just wanted to take landscape pictures?
Would you like to take in the perspective of the Engadine mountains from horseback on a wonderful ride?
To ensure that we don't miss out on time on horseback, we will enjoy the view of the beautiful Engadine mountains from horseback in the afternoon of the first day.

Then take part in the horse photography course at the San Jon riding stable and saloon:
Learn to understand your camera during 2 days and consolidate the knowledge you have gained in practical photography - with a large herd of horses and the Engadine mountains in front of your camera! As well as enjoy a horseback ride to enjoy the horses and the Engadine mountains from a different perspective.
This course is for you if you are a photography beginner, have a camera and would like to take good photos of your horse. We train portrait and movement images as well as different lighting situations.
After the course, you will understand camera technology (the relationship between aperture, exposure time and ISO; focus) and can apply this in practice. So you have everything in your hands to develop creatively - and then more and more intuitively happens: The camera becomes your tool to show your view of the world!
Depending on your needs, we will also touch on the basics of image editing, train your eye for a good image composition as well as suitable backgrounds and foregrounds to give your horse photos more depth.

Good to know

Bring your own digital camera where you can make manual settings (aperture, ISO, exposure time). E.g. an SLR or system camera.

Of course, the photography knowledge gained is not only suitable for horse photos, but also for dogs and many other subjects.

The course is conducted with a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8 participants.

The course takes place in all weathers.

Insurance is the responsibility of the participants.
