Führung Kirche St. Georg, Rhäzüns

On a hill in front of the abyss to the Hinterrhein rises the church of St. Georg in Rhäzüns. St. George is said to have jumped over this abyss with his horse while fleeing. The simple room of the church shows an impressive painting, which was created in two phases in the 14th century - the choir and the eastern part of the hall by the Waltensburg Master, the western part by the Rhäzüns Master. The result is a kaleidoscope of medieval beliefs in a 360° panorama that encourages contemplation and reflection.
