Gebäudebrüter-Exkursion Val Müstair

Under expert guidance, get to know the birds that breed on and in buildings in our villages and are therefore characteristic of the summer village.

This excursion goes from the Center da sandà Sielva to Sta. Maria and on to Valchava. Together we discover and observe the birds, identify them and try to find out if and where they breed.

The excursion starts at the bus stop Sta. Maria "Sielva" at 8.15 a.m. and ends at the bus stop Valchava "Cumün" at 1.15 p.m.

The bird species that breed on and in buildings in Val Müstair and the Engadine are all migratory birds. Their return in spring heralds the "warm" season and has always delighted people in the Alpine region. Together with the Swiss Ornithological Institute, the Biosfera Val Müstair organises several events to bring the fascinating building breeders closer to our guests and the local population.
