Place
Kirche St. Maria Lantsch/Lenz

The church was first mentioned in 831. In the 12th century, it was supplemented by a Romanesque tower. The late Gothic winged altar from 1479 is considered the second oldest in the canton of Graubünden. The paintings were created in the course of the 14th century. The figure of Christophorus on the west side is attributed to the circle of Waltenburg masters. The church has been restored several times over the centuries, most recently in 1990.

Pastor Joseph Willimann has summarised the symbolic value of the wrought-iron grave crosses for the grave crosses of Lantsch. You can find grave crosses from different eras such as Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque to modern times.
