Weaving is one of the oldest crafts of mankind – and is experiencing a new appreciation today. In the idyllic Val Schons, with a view of the mountains, the Pignia weaving stable invites you to rediscover this ancient craft. The course is led by Stini Arn, who grew up with the weaving craft and passes on her knowledge with a lot of calm and joy. On one of four prepared looms, you will learn the basics of weaving with the shuttle. In a calm and creative atmosphere, your own woven piece is created step by step - for example a kitchen towel, table runner, carpet or a small personal unique piece. Weaving combines rhythm, concentration and handicraft in a special way. The steady work with warp and weft has a decelerating and meditative effect and creates space to leave everyday life behind for a few hours.
The course is suitable for beginners, the curious and anyone who wants to rediscover or resume textile techniques. No previous knowledge is necessary. A smaller loom is available for children. In the end, you take your self-woven work home with you.
