Late Fame

Ed Saxberger, a New Yorker in his sixties, has been working a monotonous job at the post office for decades. In the evenings, he meets up with the same old friends for a game of pool at their regular bar. One day, Ed is approached by a young man who introduces himself as a fan. He and his friends are thrilled about a poetry collection from the 1970s that they recently discovered. After some initial hesitation, Ed lets himself be swept up by the enthusiasm of this eccentric group. His promise to write a new poem for their planned poetry reading also has to do with Gloria, the mysterious actress who wants to recite it.
