The programme ranges from Mozart's sparkling overture to Le nozze di Figaro to Schumann's passionate Cello Concerto in A minor (soloist: Maximilian Hornung) to Samuel Barber's touching Adagio for Strings, David Popper's fiery Hungarian Rhapsody and Ernest Bloch's haunting Three Scenes from Jewish Life.
