On the musical theatre stages, he is known as a powerful-voiced, charismatic villain like the schemer Iago in Giuseppe Verdi's "Otello", the cruel police chief Scarpia in Giacomo Puccini's "Tosca" or the diabolical barber Sweeney Todd in Stephen Sondheim's musical of the same name. Bryn Terfel turns opera characters into gripping, psychologically complex characters. The bass-baritone is also a real master singer in art songs. And when Terfel interprets folk songs from his Welsh homeland, as he did on his last album "Sea Songs", he also hits right into the heart. At the concert evening in Klosters, the singer will show his entire musical range - from opera to musicals, from art songs to folk songs. With his wife Hannah Stone on the harp, the pianist Annabel Thwaite and the Zürcher Sing-Akademie at his side, the musical accompaniment changes, but the intensity remains!
