Mountain Brass in Concert

A competition for top Swiss brass bands in Graubünden, inspired by the British Brass in Concert, which has been in existence since 1977.

Each band plays a self-contained program, which must meet the following criteria:

- Only original works or high-quality arrangements for brass band

- a solo piece (winds or percussion)

- Duration of the program 30 - 35 min

An open jury of three experts evaluates the musical achievements in three different categories:

- Best overall musical performance

- Best Soloist

Together with the audience, the jury evaluates the factor of entertainment, content and creativity. The vote of the audience at 50% and the jury at 50% then results in the prize:

- Best entertainment program

The overall winner of the competition is determined by the following factors:

- Total of the jurors for the overall musical performance

- Sum audience and juror, entertainment program and creativity

Tickets:

Ticket in advance: CHF 35 (adults) / CHF 30 (adults IV / AHV) / CHF 25 (young people up to 16)

Ticket at the box office: CHF 40 (adults) / CHF 35 (adults IV / AHV) / CHF 30 (young people up to 16)

Seats are not numbered – free choice of seats on site!

The hall is barrier-free.
