Museum Festival

The Viaduct Museum Langwies warmly invites you to the museum festival on August 22, 2026, to celebrate the opening of the new station "Classroom" in the former school building Langwies, where a spectacular model of the teaching framework by Richard Coray will be on display. In the afternoon, the renowned engineer and bridge builder Jürg Conzett will speak about Richard Coray, the Graubünden teaching framework builder, and the significance of the fan-shaped teaching framework that made the construction of the Langwies Viaduct possible and gained international recognition as a craftsmanship and engineering masterpiece. Afterwards, the museum grounds will transform into a lively meeting place: In the Strelawiese, participatory experience stations invite you to engage and discover. Along with this, there will be drinks, food, and the opportunity to get to know the Viaduct Museum through guided tours. From 6 p.m., we will continue the celebration – with a DJ and afterparty until late in the evening. We look forward to celebrating this special day together with all those involved, the people of Langwies, and all bridge and train enthusiasts, and toasting to the completion of the Viaduct Museum Langwies.
