Musiktheater: La scoula chi svoula

The story, which is brought to the stage by Chasper-Curò Mani (concept, musical direction) and Ivo Bärtsch (direction and text), shows the ups and downs during the rehearsal phase for the big concert as colourful music theatre in a fresh, humorous and poetic way. The dialogues (Romansh and German) are written especially for this piece, and pieces by W. A. Mozart, Bruno Coulais ("Les Choristes"), Sidonia Caviezel, Aretha Franklin and many more, among others, are accompanied by a 12-piece orchestra/band (teachers from the Engiadina Bassa/Val Müstair music school).
Short Description:
A music boarding school in the mountains is in trouble and is to be closed due to financial worries. The closure can only be averted with the help of a conductor (Chasper-Curò Mani, baritone) from Paris, once a pupil at the boarding school himself. The enthusiasm of the students (youth choir "Cool cor – cul cour" of the music school Engiadina Bassa/Val Müstair, directed by Sidonia Caviezel) is still very timid at first. But together with the caretaker (Daniel Bentz, tenor) and the headmistress (Nina Mayer, soprano), both gifted singers, he succeeds in getting the young people to sing. Can he also prevent the closure and make the school "fly" again?
