Ninas Lieder

After successfully touring Switzerland with "Rotschild's Violin", they have now created a new piece. The text for it was written by the Graubünden writer Gianna Olinda Cadonau. Laura Zangger has rearranged Romanesque songs . The text tells in a sensitive way of the friendship between Simon, a violin maker, and Nina, a dog owner. What stories have to be told for two people to trust each other? What can be left unsaid? Accompanied by Nina's songs, they experiencean extraordinary adventure.

Laura Zangger's music is inspired by old Engadine folk songs she grew up with. In the new compositions, these melodies live on. They seek parallels to the folk music of other countries and at the same time combine with elements of baroque music, which fits wonderfully into the poetic writing style of Gianna Olinda Cadonau.
