In Giovanni Netzer's new production, however, the ancient general has to lose feathers. A bitter critic picks apart the apparent feats, mocks the love life of the Caesar and draws contemporary parallels to his ancient biography. On stage are Sybille Diethelm, Salome Cavegn, Nino Gmünder and Matthias Helm – all long-standing members of the Ensemble Vocal Origen. Alena Sojer accompanies on the grand piano.
