Astrid Alexandre is a singer and multi-instrumentalist with Belgian-Romansh roots. At the centre of her work is her voice – carried by lived multilingualism: Romansh, French and English each open up their own sound spaces. With RESONANZAS, her third album, Alexandre pursues an idea that is musical, physical and personal at the same time: resonance as resonance. The music forms the starting point of a project that reaches far beyond the album. Although released as a solo album, RESONANZAS thrives on creating together: double bass player Rees Coray is a central partner in the sound, other contributors enrich the project with musical motifs, lyrics and audiovisual impulses. This creates a transdisciplinary network that builds bridges between languages and voices, between individual expression and shared dialogue.
