Rondò Veneziano - Flimsfestival 2026

Baroque music was rediscovered after its extinction with Bach's death at the beginning of the 19th century, and its performance took on various forms. From the 1960s onwards, Harnoncourt and his ensemble Concentus Musicus took a pioneering approach to historical performance practice. Gian Piero Reverberi took a different path, he founded his ensemble "Rondò Veneziano" in 1979, and in more than 23 years he composed around a hundred hits in the style of Venetian Baroque music. In addition to his melodies, he is also remembered by listeners as an ensemble in rococo costumes. Classical and pop, two music genres that couldn't be more different. No other musical ensemble has entered into such an artistic symbiosis between baroque classical and modern music. His works stormed the charts and remained at the top of them for weeks. In today's concert, we will juxtapose baroque and "modernism" live for the first time in a concert and travel to Venice in the early 18th century with the ensemble le phénix  .
