Rumantsch!

Rumantsch! focuses on artists from the Romansh-speaking regions of Graubünden. The exhibition combines historical and contemporary works from the collection of the Fundaziun Capauliana with current positions by important artists from the Rhaeto-Romanic regions. It makes the diversity and vitality of this culture visible – as a formative force for identity and artistic creation in the canton. Works by Johann Feuerstein, Matias Spescha, Corsin Fontana, Not Vital, Gaudenz Signorell, Guido Baselgia, Ladina Gaudenz, Ester Vonplon and Mirko Baselgia, among others, will be shown.

Consistently bilingual (Rumantsch Grischun/ German), the exhibition reflects the linguistic reality of Graubünden and contributes to the visibility of Romansh. A varied accompanying programme with Rhaeto-Romanic guided tours, a bilingual storytelling hour and a musical contribution from the Lower Engadine invites visitors to experience language as a living culture.
