Event Valposchiavo

Tanz- und Bewegungsworkshop mit Gabrielle Neuhaus

Description

In her studio, Gabrielle Neuhaus proposes to observe in ourselves and in our relationships with others what the concept of resistance can mean and how it can be embodied in movement and space. Is resistance always a response to stimulation or can it be a spontaneous act? How do we perceive and implement physical action, inaction, and reaction through the lens of resistance?

Participants will work individually, in pairs or in groups, in silence or to music, to discover and explore subtle and gentle or direct and vigorous manifestations of resistance to sensory phenomena such as gravity, or to the influence of music or other participants on the way we move and dance. We will also let ourselves be carried away by these stimuli (can a moment of harmony and unity with our environment be experienced as an act of resistance?) or initiate our own stimulations, which others may perceive or ignore. Where will we find the meeting points between freedom and resistance in our movement?
