Biography:
Moni Wespi is an international choreographer, visual artist, designer based in Almens GR. In her choreographic practice, she creates images through radical scenographic choices, combined with her movement research around micro-movement. In 2007, Wespi founded the company LOUTOP in Zurich, with which she created a completely new and innovative stage project that toured nationally and Europe-wide in public spaces from 2007 to 2014 (250 performances). In 2010, Moni Wespi was awarded the "GRANT" prize of the City of Zurich for her work with Loutop. Since 2022, Wespi has been part of IN SITU (European Network for Art in Public Space) and develops SLOWED LANDSCAPES performance installations in which the audience is invited to slow down and reintegrate into the environment. Moni Wespi tours her projects and creates in co-productions in Switzerland and Europe.
