"Cattle in love"
At the Birkenhof, the prickly maid Annarös (Luzia Kollegger) and the bickering farmhand Nöldi (Patrick Breitenmoser) argue every day. They even forget about their work. But that's not the only problem of farmer Heiri (Ivan Breitenmoser). His bull has completely lost interest in the cows. His breeding farm is on the verge of ruin.
Luckily, the two neighbour sisters Ursi (Romana Rusterholz) and Antonia (Marlis Schircks) have found a "love potion for cattle" on the Internet. And so the product comes from China to the Birkenhof.
Meanwhile, carpenter Hans-Joggi (Ivan Locher) repairs a jammed door in the farmhouse parlour. He is just as uptight himself, but he would love to have a wife.
Nöldi is at his side with advice and support. And soon Hans-Joggi has the opportunity to try out his pick-up lines. But the two schnapps distillers Vreni (Petra Federspiel) and Käthi (Marisa Crameri), who bring an ordered delivery, show little enthusiasm. Nöldi is all the more enthusiastic when his childhood sweetheart Susanne (Livia Umiker) unexpectedly turns up at the Birkenhof and tries to persuade him to go on holiday together. Which, in turn, annoys Annarös unbelievably.
Maybe the bull isn't the only one on the farm who wouldn't hurt with a few drops of love.
