We hike on the deposits of the Flims landslide, the largest landslide event in the Alps. Unique waterways have formed in the debris of the landslide. Insights into the underground water network are offered by the mysterious lakes hidden in the forest and glittering turquoise.
From our meeting point we walk leisurely to Lag Prau Pulté, cross the bypass road of Flims and continue to Lag Prau Tuleritg and Lag la Cauma. Inputs await at various stops: How can the age of the Flims landslide be determined? How fast does groundwater flow? Why do the water levels of the lakes fluctuate?
