Visit to the Camera Obscura Bernina

In the Camera Obscura at Ospzio Bernina, light passes through a 20-mm hole and projects a 7-meter image of the mountains and glaciers outside...but upside down.

The Camera Obscura can only be visited during guided tours (approx. 30 minutes, max. 15 people) at these times: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm.

Meeting point: Parking at the Hotel Ospizio Bernina.

- Good footwear is recommended.
- To reach the Camera Obscura, it is necessary to climb a staircase of 63 steps.
- To fully enjoy the optical effect, it is necessary to stay inside the Camera Obscura (dark room) for approx. 15 min. Therefore, the visit to the Camera Obscura is not suitable for those who suffer from claustrophobia.
- The Camera Obscura works only in good light conditions.
- In case of bad weather, the Camera Obscura remains closed.
