With her interpretations on the accordion, Viviane Chassot continues to set new standards. She performs as a soloist and chamber musician worldwide in renowned concert halls such as Philharmonie Berlin, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Guggenheim Museum New York, Wigmore Hall London, Konzerthaus Vienna and Tonhalle Zurich. She has already worked with conductors such as Simon Rattle, David Zinman, Riccardo Chailly and Heinz Holliger and is a frequent guest at international festivals. As a versatile musician, she crosses stylistic boundaries: courageously and innovatively, she combines classical music, jazz, new music and improvisation. In recent years, Viviane Chassot has played numerous world premieres and was the winner of the Kranichsteiner Music Prize. In 2015, she was awarded the Swiss Ambassador's Award London. As an artistic personality with international charisma and a pioneer in her field, Viviane Chassot received the Swiss Music Prize 2021.

"This time I expand the strictly 'classical' framework and combine classical music with jazz and free improvisation. I contrast the beauty of simple, traditional Breton folk music with a waltz by F. Chopin or the Gnossiennes by E. Satie. Unexpected juxtapositions, connections and transitions between different composers and epochs merge into a unity."

The concert will take place in the church of Tschiertschen, which is generously made available to us by the Reformed parish of Steinbach.
