Marietta Balzer-Caspar: "Where Heaven & Earth Touch"

No running water at home, ashes as detergents, self-sewn clothes and an ultra-conservative upbringing: What is hardly imaginable for many of us today was a matter of course for Marietta Balzer-Caspar, born in 1933. The sprightly Haldenstein native has written an autobiography about her life: "Where Heaven & Earth Touch". In our association, she now tells us from her book and looks back on her childhood in Lantsch/Lenz and tells us why she and her family were something like exotics in the small farming village, why she was not allowed to wear braids as a girl and why her parents' marriage was ill-starred.
