On old mule tracks - Valtellina wine to Alp Flix

From 9 to 17 October 2026, Cotti Horse will bring a historic connection between Valtellina and Graubünden back to life. With riding horses and mule horses, the path leads from Marmorera via Silvaplana, the Bernina and the Valposchiavo to Tirano - and with Valtellina wine on the mule horses back northwards to Alp Flix.

If the mountains, weather, man and horse permit, the muleteer procession is scheduled to arrive at the inn in Tga Lucas on Alp Flix at around 11 a.m. on Saturday, 17 October. The arrival will be celebrated with an alpine and muleteer festival, which will also mark the end of Cotti Horse's season.
The mule barrels are opened and the Veltliner is served at the festival. Part of the wine is bottled by hand directly on Alp Flix, corked and provided with the special mule wine label; guests can help with corking and labelling. This is how only a few hundred bottles of the "Säumerwein 2026" are produced. They are sold at the festival and then on Alp Flix - as a wine that not only has an origin, but also a special path behind it.
