Weltfilmtag im Cinema Stalla - A Sad and beautiful World

Nino and Yasmina are born on the same day, in the same hospital, and just one minute apart, while outside the civil war rages. As children, they are close friends, but Yasmina's move causes them to lose touch, and they do not meet again until twenty years later. It is love at second sight – yet their ideas about life and a shared future could hardly be more different, as their personal experiences and the political turmoil of the country have left their marks.

Director and screenwriter Cyril Aris stages an exhilarating love story against the backdrop of Beirut, unfolding over three decades and reflecting the more recent history of Lebanon.
