Weltfilmtage Thusis zu Gast im Cinema Sil Plaz in Ilanz

17-year-old Robert dreams of a music career in Bangui. But his parents, originally refugees from the DR Congo, are in prison. The rapper has to take care of his four younger siblings on his own, juggling between odd jobs and high school preparations, while avoiding the militias that are spreading unrest in the city. One day he hears about a music competition – victory becomes his only hope. With disarming honesty and a dramaturgy that only life can write, Rafiki Fariala manages to create a sensation in his feature film debut, which won an award in Cannes.
