Event Arosa Lenzerheide
Winter village tour Churwalden
Description
As early as 15 B.C., a significant Alpine route led through the valley, connecting North and South over the Septimer Pass. Drovers, merchants, and pilgrims brought prosperity, goods, and stories to the region. With the expansion of transport routes and the use of carriages, Churwalden gained further importance: for the more than 800 carriage horses, large amounts of hay had to be provided. The rising spa tourism, the healthy Alpine air, and regional specialties from the place are known beyond the region. Discover the origins of Bündner meat, surprising anecdotes, and exciting personalities – a journey through the vibrant history of a special village.
The village tour on October 17, 2026, is canceled.
