Great cinema for the ears: If you look at the concert list of the Zurich solo guitarist Attila Vural, he seems to be better known in Germany and the USA than in Switzerland. Quite wrongly! Attila Vural plucks, bows and strikes a well-tuned mixture of jazz, Latin and rock from his 8-string or 14-string guitar and in between lets his advanced fingerstyle playing sound again and again, making his guitar not only a stringed but also a percussion instrument. This brings new rhythmic possibilities into play, on which clarinetist Isam Shehade builds his lines. He, in turn, cultivates the velvety and lyrical tone. In this way, pieces of music are assembled that hint a little experimental, but emphasize the harmony of the interplay in the overall listening impression. Since the first compositions together, which date back to the nineties, they have been developing an independent signature for twelve years, which they repeatedly reveal at concerts.
