Holiday Apartment Surselva
Ferienhaus Türalihus, Valendas
Description
The Türalihus is one of the most beautiful town houses of Valendas. The oldest part dates back to 1485. In later phases of construction, the house was extended to the north and supplemented with a stair tower. This gave his name to the Türalihus. In Türalihus there are two apartments. The smaller apartment is located on the upper floor. The layout of the rooms has remained unchanged since it was built. The floors, wood panelling, murals and tower stove in the living room have been carefully restored. The apartment is equipped with a modern kitchenette and a bathroom. The historic furnace is functional. The two bedrooms are located in two rooms at the back of the house.
The present Baroque appearance of the Türalihus dates back to the last extension in 1775, when the stair tower was raised and the whole house was equipped with stately panelling and stoves. On the second floor, which together with the third and the attic forms the upper apartment, there is a magnificent, south-facing parlour with two-tone wall panelling and a cube oven. At the back of the house there is another, richly painted parlour, which today serves as a dining room. On the south side of the attic, a parlour and an adjoining room were converted into bedrooms. In the small parlour next to the kitchen, which is equipped with a modern kitchenette, a large bathroom with a free-standing bathtub invites you to linger.
A public car park is located approx. 150 m from the house, pets are allowed, non-smoking accommodation, not wheelchair accessible.
