Directions

Directions

By car, take the motorway A3 to Chur and drive upward to Arosa in approx. 45 minutes on a narrow winding road. Attention! In winter you will need winter tires as well as snow chains, depending on weather conditions.
Once in Arosa follow the road uphill to Inner-Arosa, pass the Kulm hotel, cross a large parking lot. After an S-curve you pass the Museum. Then you follow straight along a narrow road. The Haus Mattern is then on the right at the turnoff towards Gspan. You my easy recognize the house by its facade with the mosaic.

By train, take the Intercity Express to Chur. From there, the scenic Rhaetian Railway whisks you up to Arosa (trains run hourly). Check www.sbb.ch for timetable. When in Arosa you can take a taxi or a romantic horse-drawn sledge.
