Arosa is located at 1800 meters above sea level at the end of the Schanfigg valley. Nestled in the beautiful mountain landscape, Arosa is very sunny and almost windless in a valley basin. The village is considered to be snow reliable and with the many hiking routes, the leisure and sports offer is almost endless. Due to the valley end there is no through traffic in Arosa, which gives the village a quiet and cozy ambience. How to find Arosa : By car : Coming from Zurich on the A3, you can reach Chur directly and easily. Take the exit "Chur Nord" follow the signs to Arosa. On the well-known Schanfigger road you can reach Arosa in about 45 minutes, after which you have experienced about 360 curves. In winter, winter tyres are a must! Snow chains are an advantage on board, as long as there is no 4x4. At the main post office, turn right towards the train station. Follow this road to the Büvetta beverage shop. There the road branches off to the left, on this you continue for about 1 km until you reach a crossroads again after the Waldhotel National. Following the right lane, it is the second house after the intersection. By train: From Zurich main station, Zurich Airport as well as from St.Gallen you can reach Chur by Intercity. There you get on the red Rhaetian Railway, also known as "Arosa Bähnli", and reach Arosa within 1 hour. The trains from Chur (Coira) to Arosa run every hour, the exact timetable can be found on "sbb.ch" At the train station in Arosa, taxis are waiting for the new guests when they arrive.
