Privacy Policy: Connecting the «Alle laufen lang» app with Strava
- Voluntary
You may voluntarily connect your Strava account to the «Alle laufen lang» app so that cross-country skiing activities recorded with Strava can be credited in the «Alle laufen lang» app. The «Alle laufen lang» app also works without this connection, as you can record cross-country skiing activities directly in the app instead. The connection uses Strava’s standard authorisation process. You sign in directly with Strava and grant access there. We never have access to your Strava password.
What data we obtain from Strava
Once you have granted access, we obtain the following from Strava:- Your cross-country skiing activities, including start time, duration, distance, activity type and recorded route.
- Your Strava ID and the technical access tokens required to retrieve the data.
The authorisation also covers activities you have marked as private on Strava. We do not retrieve any other data from your Strava account, in particular information about your contacts, segments or membership of Strava Clubs.
How we use the data
We use the data for only two purposes:to check whether the cross-country skiing activity took place in one of the supported regions;
to credit you with the corresponding points for challenges and trophies.
- Who can see the data
We do not display the data obtained from Strava in the «Alle laufen lang» app, not even to you. There is no list of imported activities, route map or information about your Strava profile. Your score and the distance of your latest recorded activity are visible. Leaderboards show only the nickname you chose in our «Alle laufen lang» app and your score.
- Legal basis
We process this data on the basis of your consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time, with effect for the future, by disconnecting the accounts in the «Alle laufen lang» app or revoking access in your Strava account settings.
- Strava’s role
We are responsible for processing the data obtained from Strava in our «Alle laufen lang» app. Strava is independently responsible for processing data on its own platform; Strava’s Privacy Policy applies there. The service provider for users in Switzerland and the European Economic Area is Strava Ireland Limited, part of Strava, Inc. (USA).
- Transfers abroad
In connection with linking your accounts, data is transferred to Strava in Ireland and the United States. The transfers are based on Standard Contractual Clauses.
Data retention and deletion
Activity data transferred via Strava is not stored. We only check whether the cross-country skiing activity took place in a supported region and then credit you with the corresponding kilometres, trophies and points.
Your score and trophies earned are data held in our «Alle laufen lang» app. They remain associated with your account until you delete your account.
If you delete an activity in Strava, the data will be deleted from the system within 48 hours.
If you disconnect the accounts in the «Alle laufen lang» app, we delete the access tokens and all data originating from Strava. The app confirms when deletion is complete. Trophies already earned are retained.
The same applies if you revoke access directly in Strava. Strava notifies us, and we delete the data accordingly.
- What we do not do
We do not statistically analyse the data obtained from Strava or combine it to produce analyses. We do not use it for advertising or in artificial intelligence systems. We do not disclose it to third parties or sell it. We do not charge you for features based on Strava data.
- Your rights
The rights described in this Privacy Policy apply, in particular the rights of access, rectification and erasure.
