Probably the most praised and travelled winter hiking trail in the entire Prättigau. Wonderful panoramic route connecting the two villages of St. Antönien and Pany.
Details
Description
Already in the first meters you gain height quickly. After climbing through the sparse forest, you pass a romantic forest clearing. In the background, the first mountain peaks appear.
Leaving the forest behind, you reach the high plateau below the Valpuner Alp. The view ranges from the Schesaplana to the mountains of Austria. In front of you towers the Chrüz, one of the slate foothills south of the main Rätikon ridge. The relatively easy-to-walk summit forms an even pyramid above the mountain villages of Pany, Stels, and St. Antönien. The Chrüz is therefore also called the Rigi of the Prättigau.
On the sunny high plateau, you then walk along the base of the Chrüz. With gentle ups and downs, you go through sparse forest again. The groomed path leads down to Pany. The route can be walked in both directions.
