Description

We start across open terrain, past the sun-scorched Walser houses of Surrein on the left. If no one has tracked ahead of us, it can be really tough. But the wonderful landscape, between fir and birch trees covered in deep snow, distracts from the effort.

After the Sut Seiv stable we reach the closed forest and a forest road takes us in a long bend to the mountain station of the Tgom cable car.

Now we follow the wide ridge, which must not be left under any circumstances for safety reasons, to the hut in Stavel Sisum. To the right of our track there is a system for automatically triggering avalanches. Such a release causes a loud bang, but the safety of the route is not endangered.

The hut is an ideal place for a rest and picnic before we hike back into the valley along the same route.
