The classic in the Schamser valley is a must for every bike fan: From Andeer to Alp Curtginatsch.
Details
Description
The route starts in Andeer and leads across the Hinterrhein river to the left side of the valley at the Schamser mountain. The route climbs steadily via Clugin and Casti and continues on the natural road up to Wergenstein.
There, the route leads about 500 m on the road towards Mathon, before the junction with a bus stop turns left. Immediately afterwards, the right alpine road leads to Alp Curtginatsch at 2,272 m above sea level. A hiking trail first leads south to Alp Nurdagn and then turns left along the slope of Piz Vizan to Promischur.
From the Maiensäss Promischur a forest road (natural road) leads down via Molas and Plan to Andeer. Alp Curtginatsch at 2,272 m above sea level is the largest and highest cattle alpine pasture with cheese production in Europe.
Any hiking trail closures/restrictions or detours can be found here.
