A short and easy hike to the beautiful Flix mountain lakes. With the Bus Alpin Alp Flix you can get to Tgalucas and from there it is about 20 minutes to the Lais da Flix lakes.

Description

Alp Flix is very beautiful and quietly situated. It offers a wonderful view of Piz Platta. A paradise to let your soul unwind. You will be thrilled! The history of Alp Flix is part of the history of the Walser people. They used and claimed the settlement area of Alp Flix. This is shown by the chapel from the 15th century, dedicated to Saints Placidus and Rochus. At the end of the 17th century, the Walser completely abandoned this permanent settlement to settle in Sur. Today, Alp Flix is inhabited again throughout the year.

Parking

Parking available in the village of Sur (near the church) or just before the Alp (pay parking). Driving is prohibited on Alp Flix.

The Alp Flix plateau captivates with its wide expanse and the view to Piz Platta. Fertilised and dry grass meadows are intermingled with mountain forest, high and flat moorland with mountain lakes to form a multifarious mosaic.

Segantini painted the first version of the picture in the Savoggnin period – probably partly on Alp Flix, as can be seen from Bice's handwritten autobiography. Segantini revised the picture 10 years later and enlarged it considerably by adding canvas.
