Alp Vals

The Kuhalp Vals is grazed by the Seewis Alpine Cooperative with about 100 cows. In addition to approx. 9,000 kg of alpine cheese, butter and Ziger are also produced in the summer months.  Endurance mountaineers can follow the signs from Seewis Dorf (Brühel post bus stop) in the direction of Valärsäge and turn right at the sawmill to the Vordersäss of Alp Vals. If you prefer less altitude and distance, you can start from Fanas with the Fanas cable car to the Eggli, hike around the Sassauna in the direction of Schesaplana. At the Luderer Egg, turn right in the direction of Mässhalde, past the Picardichopf and then, after crossing the Valserbach, reach the Vordersäss of Alp Vals. The route then goes back through the Valsertobel via Munt to Fanas.

Scooter rental stations at the Schesaplana hut and the Alp Ludera for a rapid descent (only during the summer season, approx.  June - October)
